Established in 1980, the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) is an international association which serves providers of air and surface medical transport systems. The association, a voluntary non-profit organization, encourages and supports its members in maintaining a standard of performance reflecting safe operations and efficient, high quality patient care.
AAMS is built on the idea that representation from a variety of medical transport services and businesses can be brought together to share information, collectively resolve problems and provide leadership in the medical transport community.
The Association of Air Medical Services supports our members, their employees, their families, and the patients they serve, by:
- Advocating for the Air Medical and Critical Care Ground Transport Industry and their life-saving contributions to our communities around the world;
- Providing programs that enhance our members' ability to provide quality medical care and provide safe and effective air medical and critical care ground transportation;
- Providing professional education, safety programs, and information programs and opportunities.
The Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) is an international trade association headquartered in the Washington, DC area. We are a dedicated team, committed to representing the Air Medical and the Critical Care Ground Transport Industry and supporting our members who proudly serve their communities throughout the United States and around the world.
AAMS is a non-profit 501C (6) trade association that represents and advocates on behalf of our membership to enhance their ability to deliver quality, safe, and effective medical care and medical transportation for every patient in-need. AAMS provides numerous professional development opportunities for our members at a variety of local, national, and international events.
